Dr. Juan José Potti

Executive President of Asefma since 2015. He started working in this sector in September 1984. He has been the coordinator of several research projects founded by the European Commission (DGXII): OPTEL Project (1996-2000), SCORE Project (2002-2006) and of the most important research project in Spain: Proyecto Fénix (2008-2013). He has provided more than 500 publications and has given presentations in more than 40 countries. For more than 10 years he has been an active member of social media networks (@jjpotti). He is the chairman of the EAPA Group: "Asphalt 4.0”.

Secretary-General of the Conference of European Directors of Roads which comprises over 30 national road authorities and entities across the continent. His career in road transport also spans over thirty years of which most has been spent in international and European cooperation. He is passionate about CEDR’s key objectives on sustainability, safety, and digitalization, and believes public procurement can save the planet.

Aminda Leigh

She is an Italian-British moderator and journalist with 30 years’ experience, almost half of which working for various BBC radio and TV channels in the UK. She now runs her own media services business, based in Rome.

She specialises in environmental issues including climate change, sustainable growth, the circular economy and disaster risk reduction as well as research, innovation and technology.

Aminda’s professional experience as a moderator and master of ceremonies spans high profile events across Europe for example EU Green Week (for 13 years in a row), EU Bioeconomy Week, the EU Agriculture Outlook conference, the Eurocities Environment Forum and the European Forum for Disaster Risk Reduction organised by the UNIDSR to name but a few.

She has also chaired discussions at events run by umbrella organisations such as European Aluminium, EurEau representing Europe’s drinking water and wastewater service operators, and Slow Food Europe. And Aminda’s moderation experience includes her work at major global gatherings like the World EXPO in Milan and the COP23 climate talks in Bonn.

In June 2020, Aminda designed and directed the first fully virtual version of EU Sustainable

Energy Week (EUSEW) for the European Commission. In the field of journalism, she has made award-winning web documentaries and videos on a variety of topics, including climate change, the gender pay gap and the Common Agricultural Policy. Aminda also runs a translation agency, specialising in the film industry.
